Basic Information
Name: Irdlirvirissong (Best guess it's pronounced Ear'd-leer-veeris-song)
--Nickname: Ird ( Best guess it's pronounced Ear'd)
---Special Title: None
Gender: Male
Visual Age: early to mid-twenties
Actual Age: 18
Personality: Growing up Irdlirvirissong was a very passive child. So much so he refused to fight even when being beaten. Though he contradicted himself by practicing his self defense skills with his siblings. This caused them to view him with no backbone. Ird preferred to talk things out but rarely did that ever work as a kid. Despite being passive he does seem to have a limit, having reached it when a family member was in trouble. Over the years Ird has seemed to adapt a kinda of passive aggressive view towards things though he had grown to enjoy practicing and sparing.
His view towards others is like a child's in a way; if they are nice he is nice in return. If they are hostile he will become sarcastic and snippy. It is unclear as to when this became part of his personality. If a person is in serious trouble, or he believes them to be, Ird will try to assist whatever way he can. He sometimes would get ahead of himself and assume the worst of a situation before knowing all the facts.
A lover of history and stories, Ird could spend hours sitting around a camp fire and listening and telling stories of his adventures and those of others. He finds life to be an adventure and that it should be not only experienced but remembered also.
Ird has a deep love of his heritage. While the origin of his bending is still unsure he accepts it as who he is and makes no excuse for it nor has he ever purposely hidden it. He is proud of who and what he is and will let anyone know it.
Due to his traveling around he has only heard bits and pieces of what has occurred in Republic City. Having never been he decided to make his way there. He intends to help the people who may need it. He doesn't consider himself a hero, only a servant to the World and the People in it that are in distress.
Having traveled a vast portion of the world Ird has experienced many things, different people and different problems. He is confident in his skills to help the people of Republic City.
Appearance:
Ird is 6'0" and has dark tanned skin due to his Water Tribe blood. His hair is long, down to the base of his neck and woven into small dread locks. His eyes are sky blue which stand out against his dark hair and skin. His body has an average build of lean muscle. He has a few small scars on his neck and chin that stick out due to their white color. He is good looking but not necessarily handsome.
When cold Ird would use his favorite fur coat; a Water Tribe make, made by Chena that has a white water tribe symbol in a red flame on the back with a red back bone stitching. Along the seams are red the same color as the flame and back bone on the back. The hood on the fur coat has little difference from a normal Water Tribe fur coat, the one real difference is the red seam.
(Imagine it like this but with my details: http://fashionablygeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Korra-hoodies-1-e1345671752517.jpg?cb5e28 )
When he is too warm it resembles a kimono-like tunic, with split sides for leg movement and fur trimmed leggings underneath. The tunic has a few patches of red in some places due to a accident in an old abandoned Fire Nation Colony, with sleeves halfway down his biceps. The leggings look normal, though they are made with double pads in the knees for protection when falling.
His boots are used for both warm climate or cold, they are a light shade of brown with some barely any fur along the entrance of the boot. Along the inside of the right and left boots are a slot for a shark-whale tooth dagger. Ird keeps it in his left boot and his spare money in his right.

Character Background
History: Siku and Chena raised their family with strong conviction, stern discipline, and a loving heart. Their children were their lives, nothing came before their family's safety and happiness. Their first pregnancy was with twins, Ipiktok and Kirima. The twins were followed a few years later by their son, Chulyin and a year later by their daughter Corazon. Another year passed and they were surprised by another new addition to their family. A boy named Irdlirvirissong had shown up at their door in the arms of an older man. Siku's brother, whom had traveled around the world in search of himself.
Irdlirvirissong was about a year old then, he was placed into the arms of his uncle and was cared for like the others. No special treatment was given, he was an equal to their children. Irdlirvirissong's father was never heard from again.
Over the next ten years Siku and Chena had taught the children how to hunt, fish, craft clothing, track, and build upon their own unique skills. Once of age Chulyin and Corazon had realized they could waterbend, like their Father and their older sister, Kirima. Siku taught them how to control their abilities, and the responsibilities that came with such power. Chulyin was the a natural, picking up more advanced moves after a time or two of seeing them. Corazon was a bit more slow but her had more control over large amounts of water at one time. Kirima was like her father, she was diverse in combat and protection but she excelled at Healing.
While Siku taught waterbending Chena taught Ipkitok and Irdlirvirissong how to fight hand to hand. She wasn't very worried about the others with their bending though; she did teach them a few things for just in case. Ipiktok was advanced in his skills before Chena began teaching him. Ipiktok would rough house with the other boys of the tribe and learn from them.
Irdlirvirissong on the other hand was more reluctant. He learned but at a much slower pace. He preferred to talk things out. This got him some negative attention from most the young boys of the tribe. They would single him out and pick on him about his passive behavior, attempting to goaded him into attacking them. It would normally backfire by Ipiktok or one of the other siblings stepping in and defending him.
Ird continued to practice with Chena but as the years passed his attitude didn't change. During his early teenage years Ird would run from an altercation and try to please people over trying to please himself. His made his siblings aggravated at him for his "lack of backbone." Ird would spend his time with the smaller children and elders learning about what the other parts of the world are like and the history of the 100 year war. The stories instilled a fear of firebenders in him that he could not shake.
During his thirteenth year Ird had found out that he was a bender. But not a water bender, Irdlirvirissong was a firebender. This came as a major surprise since a firebender living in the Southern Water Tribe was very rare. There were still some nasty emotions tied to the Fire Nation and the Fire benders. At first Ird was scared of his own abilities since he was scared of firebenders being one himself made him question himself.
He had heard many storied of Firebenders raiding villages and killing all those in their path. How could he be a firebender? He was of the Southern Water Tribe,if he was to be a bender he should have been a bender of water. Due to his bending most if not all of the Southern Tribe knew before long about what he was. This only increased the bullying by those who had been fed the same stories he had at a young age. They wanted him out of their home.
Ird had come home with his clothes in blood from the children trying to run him out of town. Though he understood their feelings he still felt pain in his heart because of it. Chena and Siku noticed his blood and tears and checked him over. They explained that "A person's bending doesn't make them good or bad. It's what they did with it that mattered." They told him that they would love him regardless of his bending.
The bullying in the following weeks that passed seemed to dwindle down to non physical bullying. Ird found out that his family had spoken to the children's family and requested that they put their children in check. Siku and Chena had a very good reputation in the Tribe due to their generosity and community work. They always helped out when needed and never asked for anything in return. They raised their children to be the same and it did them well.
The bullying never officially stopped but one day Ird couldn't take anymore.
On his way back to his house from trying to speak with the elders he stumbled upon someone being beaten up. Much like the one before only this time he could see them. The group was assaulting a girl about Ird's age. They were hurting Chulyin, he had a swelled up eye and a noticeably broken nose. His lips were busted open too and he was struggling to cover himself up. Something in Ird clicked and as a member of his family croaked for help he moved toward the attackers.
When you catch someone by surprise it's best to strike fast and hard. Put them out fast. Chena told them every time they practiced. It was three on one, for a couple seconds till Ird rushed in and launched a sliding kick into the closest attacker's knee and following it up and a knee to the side of his face. The other two didn't go down easy but Ird would take them down for what they did.
All his life he had been picked on for what he was; a passive firebender with no backbone. Well he wasn't standing around while his family got the same treatment he did. The remaining two were waterbenders and fought as such. They had the advantage. Till Ird's hands ignited and the flames formed around his forearms and his shins. The ice around him melted and began to evaporate. They fling water and ice around at him but to Ird it seemed as if they were standing still. All the practice against his siblings paid off.
It took a couple minutes but the attackers were unconscious before they hit the ground. The fire that encased Ird's limbs extinguished themselves and he moved to Chulyin's side checking on his before he noticed that there were a few people around. They looked at Ird with bewilderment and fear. Ird didn't care about that now, he called for help in a harsh tone and on the third time of demanding help they got the injured Chulyin out of their and to the healer.
A couple months passed and the bullying had stopped. Most of the kids he grew up with were unsure of how to act around Ird anymore. Ird didn't care, all he cared about was his family. Once Chulyin was back to full strength the family left on a hunting trip. Ird, Siku, Chulyin, Corazon, Kirima, Ipiktok, and Chena were gone for a week and all expressed how they felt about things that had been happening lately. Ird's bullying was a popular topic which always ended with a pat on his back as his siblings commented on his new found backbone.
During the trip Ird came to the conclusion that he wanted to see the world. He did feel as if he truly belonged in the Water Tribe. He felt as though he would be constantly judged and feared and hated due to his bending. Reluctantly his family could see where he was coming from. He told them he would leave after they returned home.
Upon the return home Chena and the family presented Ird with a present. It had a card that read "Happy fifteenth, Irdlirvirissong." The present was a blue fur coat with a bit of red on the seams and on the back was a water tribe symbol withing a flame. Along the spine of the fur coat was a white stitch job that made with look like a red back bone. It was a touching present, one that reflected his bending and his culture.
The next morning Irdlirvirissong left out with a few more presents, full set of supplies, and a heart full of love. From the day he set out on his journey he traveled from place to place learning more and more about people. He had no animal to ride but he had his bending and his know how about surviving in the arctic climates so he worried little.
For the next three years he traveled around learning what the world outside the water tribe was like. It was chaotic yet had a sense of order to it that he couldn't explain. After two years Irdlirvirissong had made it to the crown jewel of his journey. Republic City.

RP Sample: "By the blood of La!" Ird cursed dodging a blast of fire. His hands were balled into fists, out in front of him. Eyeing the cause of the jet of fire he looked at a small figure in a black leather get up, electricity arcing off its hand while a large rolling metal suit launched another torch in his direction. Fire didn't worry Ird, nor did the arcing electricity, it was the fact that he had never faced an opponent so large as the metal suit. He had faced Metalbenders encased in metal but never a Metal suit that could launch fire.
Backing up Ird had to think of a way through this challenge. He slowed his breathing by a second or two to try and calm himself. It worked for half a second before the Pint-size rushed in and thrust its hand toward Ird's gut. Having fought faster opponents, Ird side stepped and grabbed Pint-size's forearm before sending his own arc of electricity through its frame. Not enough to kill but enough to drop it without anymore hassle.
The Metal suit didn't wait, it had moved forward at an alarming rate for a thing that size. It fired its claw at Ird and missed. Without thinking Ird's hand reached out and grabbed the cable and was brought to the Suit when it retracted its claw. Hoping it might work he attempted to send an electrical current through the wire into the Suit. This plan didn't work, instead the Suit ceased it's retracting and let the momentum stop sending the Firebender into a meet-n-greet with the ground.
Ird swore he could see stars from the landing. A short bark of laughter come from the cockpit of the Suit and Ird rubbed his head before he growled to himself. Looking at the treads of the Suit he formulated a plan and moved to act. With a swift and fluid movement a thin arc of white light shot from his finger tips and collided with the treads. With a loud crash the Suit's treads snapped. The Suit wouldn't be able to move much now. Which meant; "Pay back time."
Face Claim: No clue who he is, I mainly used him cause he was the best I could find. His appearance is more or less what Ird looks like. Only, you know, a bit younger. The picture is also mainly just so people know how his hair looks. I didn't want people to get the wrong idea about how I saw him.
