Totally saved a baby squirrel today

So I went to the doctor's today to get some bug bites checked out. Lovely spider bites. I'm on antibiotics now, which I can't drink milk half an hour after I take it or go in the sun for long. Such lovely side effects. 

On top of it all, I saved a baby squirrel today! ;_; I almost gave up fully on saving the little guy. It took like 9 hours to finally find someone in my county that is a wildlife rehabilitator. They are not listed online! So it took calling several numbers to finally get some for my area that I'm saving forever. The mother did not come back for him at all during the time I was calling around. I kept him warm with a shoe box, a towel and a ziplock bag of hot water. 

The lady is going to give him my last name for a name. :3 She also said he was perfectly good for being on the ground and outside for so long. No idea how long he was on the ground for either. She also called me shortly after my dad and I got home saying he ate really good for her.

Rock on  many kudos for being a savior. I hope the little guy fully recuperates. You certainly showed some ingenuity and quick action, though a question are squirrels normally pets were you live?

No, I'm pretty sure they're illegal pets here. So that's why I was looking for a wildlife rehabilitator for several hours yesterday. They have licenses to take care of abandoned or injured wildlife before letting them back into the wild. Plus I didn't think I could take care of him like he needs to be with feeding and being made to go potty. >.<

From what I've read, squirrels are notoriously high maintenance pets and very few places allow for their domestication. That said, its nice to hear that this story had a happy ending for everybody and I wish the little guy the best of luck.
